UAC Public Observation Night

  • Fri, March 15, 2019
  • 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • UAC - Urban Astronomy Center
Both of our facilities will be featured this weekend as we welcome the Public back to our first star parties of 2019. You have a choice of bringing your scope Friday night to the Urban Astronomy Center located in the Root Cellar Building in E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park here in Louisville and/or joining us at the James G. Baker Center for Astronomy Saturday in Curby, Indiana, one hour away. Directions are on the website. Rain or shine.. Tonight we can observe the First Quarter Moon.

Members may arrive early for set-up. If the ground is wet, we will set-up behind the building on the asphalt. Scope set-up is weather dependent. Our scopes are unable to penetrate the clouds and heavy moisture such as rain drops are bad for the electronics.
